Welcome to the Northwind Lodge in the Broken Bow Lake area! This cabin, completed in April 2010, is the longtime family dream of Chris and Melissa Thomas, who are happy to share it with you.

The Northwind Lodge is a real log cabin, situated in the back of quiet Timbercreek Trails at the end of a road and up on a hill. It is situated on nearly two (2) acres adjoining the National Forest and beside a rolling creek.

Relax in an Adirondack chair with your morning coffee on one of the four covered decks. Listen to the rolling creek while you roast marshmallows over the campfire at night. Enjoy the 7-person hot tub with complete privacy after a day of walking the nearby trails or hiking at the park.

Inside the cabin, you will find three (3) bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths that sleep 5-7 (7 maximum) very comfortably. There is king size bed in the master bedroom with a private bathroom which includes a soaking tub and separate shower. There is another bedroom with a king sized bed, as well as a "bunk room" with 3 twin beds. All the bedroom furniture is custom made and unique.

In the living room, there is a dramatic two-story stacked stone fireplace built from stone from the local surrounding mountains. Sit by a roaring fire with your family and spend some much deserved quality time (mid-October thru mid-April only).

In addition, you can enjoy the game room in the back of the cabin, equipped with a foosball table and some family games. There is also a bonus room downstairs that is ideal for curling up with a book, watching a movie, or playing video games on the Xbox, while enjoying the beauty outside.

The cabin is stocked with some of the Thomas’ favorite books, movies, video games, and board games in case you want a lazy day inside the cabin.

The cabin was built for the Thomas family to enjoy and reconnect with each other and to build many family traditions. They hope you love it as much as their family does, and that you, too, will come again and begin your own traditions at The Northwind Lodge.
