During a private audience in 1982, Larry Dyke agreed to undertake an original painting for Pope John Paul II.  This painting, "Sharing the Faith", was presented to the Pope in Rome in March, 1984.  It now hangs in the Vatican, making Dyke one of the few American artists represented there.
