Description

2007 Saintsbury Chardonnay Brown Ranch
As with the Pinot Noir only a small amount of the best chardonnay goes in the Brown Ranch bottling with the remainder finding its way into the Carneros Chardonnay with predictably positive results. In addition, after nine months in French oak barrels we rack the wine to stainless steel tank along with the fine lees. The blend marries in this anaerobic environment for six additional months further enhancing the terroir-driven minerality of the Brown Ranch Chardonnay site.

2009 Flowers Chardonnay Sonoma Coast
94 Points Wine & Spirits "When it comes to chardonnay, Flowerss Sonoma Coast bottling consistently delivers a fresh, fragrant, silken, mouthwatering wine. The freshness in the 2009 tastes real, the tension of the acidity captures the briskness of the far coast (70 percent of the blend in this vintage). The texture and flavor are woven together into a soft cushion of white raspberry, tart lime, white flowers, silk and down."

2010 Migration Chardonnay Russian River Valley
92 Points Wine Enthusiast: "With a creamy mouthfeel and ripe flavors of tangerines, tropical fruits, honey and sweet oak, this is a flashy effort."

2011 Illume Chardonnay Dutton Ranch
Bright gold in color with ripe tropical fruit scents dominating the nose, Illume fleshes out beautifully on the mid-palate with layers of fruit balanced with crisp acidity and minerality. Pears, flowers and subtle hints of earthiness come to life on the finish.
