Description

The Lot Includes:
2010Anthill Farms Chardonnay Sonoma Coast, Campbell Ranch
91 Points , International Wine Cellar Green-gold. Lees-accented Meyer lemon, quince and pear aromas are brightened by dusty minerality and honeysuckle. At once silky and focused, offering intense orchard fruit and sweet butter qualities accented by anise and ginger nuances. This has to be one of the greatest chardonnay values in the market, from anywhere.
2010 Robert Young Chardonnay Alexander Valley
Aromas of guava, lemon zest and nectarine, with touches of honey, vanilla cream and hazelnut. It has a fresh sweetness and the toastiness from the French oak is well incorporated. This Chardonnay has quite a bit of power and richness, and is almost more complex than recent vintages. Theres a lot of tropical fruit backed by a nice acid, making it a very nice food wine.
2009Dutton-Goldfield Chardonnay Russian River Valley
A blend of five chardonnay vineyards in the Russian River Valley. A classic Dutton Ranch Chard, with its crisp fruit, great structure and moderate alcohol. Lush pear and vivid citrus aromas lead in the nose, followed by fresh cream and toffee overtones. In the mouth, the candied lime and citrus elements shine through, supported by creamy caramel undertones and fresh acidity. This is a wine of balance, freshness and personality.
2008 Marimar Estate Chardonnay Russian River Valley, Dobles Lias
This is a special wine, with a complex nose reminiscent of lemon custard, tapioca pudding and baked apple, plus a note of lichee nut and aromatic spice characteristic of the clones. The lees contribute hints of hazelnut and caramel, nicely framed by the elegant oak from the select barrels where it was aged. The palate is rich and mouthfilling, round and creamy, with a lingering finish and great balance that augurs a long life.
