Description
2004 Marlstone Red Wine Clos du Bois
"Blend: 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot 4% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc
Marlstone is a blend of choice lots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot selected from throughout the Alexander Valley.
The 2004 Marlstone has a deep Bing cherry color and aromas of ripe red fruit, plums, blackberries, mocha, nutmeg and chocolate. It's an opulent red, velvety in the mouth, with dense plum, blackberry, blueberry, mineral and spice flavors finishing with superlative balance and hints of cedar and vanilla."
2005 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley
92 Points Wine & Spirits: "A classic Alexander Valley cabernet, this is dark and cedary, and as smooth as velvet. The tannins last, built on black cherry-skin flavor and earthy, root-vegetable notes. With time, that black cherry flavor should become more prominent, balancing the wines earthy complexities. Drink this over the next several years with anything meaty, from duck and game birds to steak."
2009 St. Francis Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County
"This wine shows the rich, full-bodied character typical of this grape variety. Firm structure, generous tannins, and deep color complement classic aromas and flavors of ripe black currant, cassis, dusty cocoa and saddle leather.
An excellent companion to aged blue cheese, braised or grilled beef, and roast pork with fruit.
Blend: 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, and the remainder a blend of Malbec, Petite Verdot and Syrah"
2009 Eleanor Red Wine Francis Ford Coppola
Boasting a deep, saturated color and intense bouquet of black cherry, cola, mocha, and vanilla oak, the palate explodes with rich, concentrated flavors of blackberry, boysenberry and cassis layered upon exotic notes of anise and minerals that build and broaden on a long, spicy finish.
