Description

Have the best of both worlds with these two unique Bordeaux-style wines from the cellar of Wine Educator Bruce Lane. 2006 Charteau d’Issan, from Margaux, Bordeaux, and 2002 Bernardus Meritage (Red Bordeaux Blend) from the boutique Bernardus winery in Carmel, CA. Robert Parker awards 94 points to the d’Issan, which he calls “one of the great wines of the appellation” and says that this “wine is seamlessly constructed, like a fine dress from a haute couture house.” Of the 2002 Bernardus, a scarce wine, one expert says: “[Bernardus’] founding mission was to create wines that rival the finest French Bordeaux. Mission accomplished!” 90 Points. Both wines can be drunk now or held for several years.
