Winner, along with up to three guests, will be invited for a studio visit with renowned graphic artist and painter Harriet Finck in East Orange, NJ. She works in a beautiful old brick factory building on the third floor (walkup). She paints mostly on paper, with some excursions into canvas and mixed media.

Her subject is almost always about nature at the micro and macro levels - "I'm interested in the nature of clusters,and of like shapes that coalesce. I often marry this interest to an ongoing study of Jewish texts: for example, I have spent the last two years making work based on the nature imagery in the Book of Job."

Harriet's work has also appeared in Lilith.
