You can have this new official NBA Spalding basketball autographed by retired Dallas Mavericks star Derek Harper. Harper played 11 seasons as the Mavs' point guard. Over the span of his NBA career, Harper also played for the New York Knicks, LA Lakers, and Orlando Magic.

Signed in silver sharpie, the basketball (donated by a supporter) was recently autographed by Harper for this online auction when he was the guest speaker at a Men's Breakfast at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church on Aug 2, 2013.  Picture of Harper holding the signed ball is included.

Derek Harper's bio:  Harper spent 16 seasons as a star NBA point guard with the Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers. Harper played in 1199 regular season games in his career, ranking him twenty-first in NBA history (as of the 2004-5 NBA season). He retired having the eleventh most steals and the seventeenth most assists in NBA history, and is widely regarded with the distinction as being one of the best players to never make it to the All-Star game. Harper presently lives in Dallas with his family. He is now a game analyst for the Dallas Mavericks and he has been the weekend sports anchor since 2005.
