Description

Working replica of Thomas Edison's original incandesent light bulb, this was likely produced in 1979 to commemorate the 100th annivesary of this invention. Measures approximately 6" tall by 4" in maximum diameter. Brass tag on plastic base reads "1879 - Edison Replica Lamp - 1879," "General Electric Lighting Institute, Nela Park, Cleveland, Ohio." The lamp still functions, producing a warm glow on about fifteen watts when powered by 110 VAC.
