(born February 2, 1983) is a Venezuelan professional baseball shortstop for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball. He has also played for the Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Mets, and Houston Astros. He bats and throws right-handed.
He is best known as an exceptional fielder at shortstop with a career .246 batting average.
