A 6 ft 8 in small forward, he has been an NBA champion, the NBA Finals MVP, a three-time NBA MVP, and the NBA Rookie of the Year. He had the top selling jersey in the NBA for nearly two years, as he led the NBA in jersey sales from the 2005 NBA Playoffs, until the midpoint of the 2006–07 season.

After winning the NBA Championship with Shaquille O'Neal in the 2005-2006 season, Wade was instrumental in bringing in LeBron James for the 2010-2011 season. Together with Chris Bosh they won back to back NBA Championship in 2012 and 2013.
