Born in Montreal, Canada, Karen Roehl now lives in Denver.  Roehl has enjoyed a successful career as a graphic artist for more than 20 years.  Wanting to expand into the fine arts, she entered the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at CU Denver, successfully completing her BFA in 2007.  Roehl's paintings have since been shown in a number of solo and group exhibits in Colorado.  Her work is part of numerous collections, both local and national.  She is a faculty member at the Art Students League of Denver, where she teaches painting.  A selection of her works can be viewed at www.karenroehl.com.
