"I became interested in pottery after graduating from the University of Colorado in 1968 with a degree in Spanish," Walter Weinberg says.  "I opened my first studio in 1971 on the seven hundred block of Santa Fe Drive, Denver. In 1975 I built the first artist studio building in the metropolitan area at 747 Santa Fe Drive.  In 1998, I purchased a building in Original Aurora and built my studio and 12 other artist studios. For the past 44 years I have been a studio potter and helped build the art districts in Denver on Santa Fe Drive and in Original Aurora."
