Description

Krista Reinhardt-Ruprecht is a graduate of the masters art therapy program at Naropa University.  She has worked as a massage therapist for nearly twenty years and has been a parent for the past nine.  Becoming a mother reminded her of all the daily suprises in the world while also reinforcing the immense importance of sleep!  Now that she has graduated, she is continuing a play therapy internship at the Play Therapy Institute of Colorado in order to provide play and art as nervous system regulation to a variety of counseling clients.

Special Instructions

This mask is about the bright colors and faces we show the world around us.  We expose the pink, the pretty, the smiles….but the darkness is only just beneath the surface.  Sometimes it is physical illness, other times it is mental illness, grief, loss or the trials of everyday living that crack through the beautiful, acceptable colors we pretend to always be.  All of us are composed of opposites. We must know pain to truly enjoy pleasure.  Is there anyone who can sit with us in both the pink and the black?  Those can personify acceptance.
