Description

Debbie Brady's mask, which is entitled "Untitled," is a combination of encaustic painting and encaustic monotype.  Debbie has been working with the medium of encaustic since 2007.  Says Debbie, "I do both encaustic paintings on panels and encaustic monotype prints.  I have my working studio at the Dry Ice Factory in the RiNo Art District in Denver. In August I will be sharing a small studio/gallery space at Helikon with another artist, which will allow me to show my work."

Special Instructions

"Untitled"

Encaustic (beeswax and pigment) is an ancient medium known for performance and resistance to damnge from moisture, air, and insects. To care for your art, simply dust with a feather duster or clean with a lint-free cloth. Occasional polishing with a clean, soft untextured cloth will bring out depth and shine. Encaustic paintings should be protected from extreme heat and freezing. Do not hang in direct sunglight. If encaustic painting are framed, they should be done so without heat. Glass should never touch the surface.
