Description

Janice Browning began teaching decorative painting in 1988.  Since then she has taught private students; classes in arts and craft centers; and at national and regional conventions.  She earned her Certified Decorative Artist status from the Society of Decorative Painters in 1994.  A published author of the Decorative Painting book Palette of Fruit, her work has hung as Christmas ornaments at the White House for President and Mrs. Clinton; at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania; and at the Smithsonian American Art Museum Renwick Gallery.  The latter reinterpreted an 1874 oil painting by Abbot Henderson Thayer as a 3 1/4" by 4 3/4" ornament.  In addition to numerous painting awards, she has prize winning works in ceramic and glass compositions. Janice resides in Williamsville, New York.

Janice says, "This is my rendering of one of the world's most beautiful and revered animals, the Tiger."
