Anya McManis is a German native and lives and works in Denver, Colorado. She received a translator certification for English and French from the Euro Language Institute in Bamberg, Germany, and holds a BA in communication from the University of Denver. Her creative studio for graphic design, websites and fine art services is located in the Denver RiNo district.
Special Instructions
Creating this mask was a very intuitive process. I focused on multi-layering of paint and textures with the inclusion of gold leafe to achieve a level of depth and complexity that to me, mirrors the intricacies of life. This technique provides an ongoing experience to the viewer allowing them to discover new details each time they engage with the piece.
