Marcella Nordbeck is an artist, author, and advocate for suicide prevention. She works intuitively on canvas, wood, and paper, with acrylic, latex, and watercolor paints, Golden acrylic fluids and mediums, and mixed media elements including paper, plastic, fabric, and fiber. She particularly enjoys working with ephemera that is repurposed and saved from a landfill. Marcella began showing and selling her paintings in 2009. She is represented by Sync Gallery in Denver and Gallery24seven.com. Choices We Face was painted with acrylic and mixed media during Marcellas creation of her Choice Points series, a collection of acrylic abstract paintings that play with color, composition, and tention between focal points and negative space.
