Kim Anderson, a multi-media and ceramic artist from Denver, studied at The College of Santa Fe, and then Metropolitan State College of Denver, where she graduated with a BFA. She is currently a member of Artuvus Studio Co-Op. Her work has been in many galleries and group exhibits and she co-owned Id Gallery from 2009-2012. She continues to show work in various Denver galleries, her work often influenced by primitive cultures, folk art and religious iconography. Kim's work often combines humor and whimsy but simultaneously imparts an underlying darkness. Kim says this mask is about how every individual person, every face, is complex--with multiple thoughts, emotions and personas existing in them all at once.
