Janet Wright Heller studied art at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and in Rome and Florence. She received her first degrees at Massachusetts College of Art. Her love of the outdoors and the Western landscape inspired her to move to Colorado. Her passion is for the visual arts of drawing and painting, with watercolor being a particular favorite. She has exhibited her work at the Colorado Institute Art Gallery and the Wellington Webb Building Lobby among Denver Public Schools Art teachers. She says her mask, "Johnny Depp, Pirate of the Ocean," is an interpretation of Captain Jack. This acting role has made a lasting impression for movie fans and aficionados of the sea.
