Jessica Wicken received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Utah (major in painting and drawing, minor in art history) and also studied art in San Miguel de Allende and Saltillo, Mexico as well as the Art Students League in Denver, CO. Her work has been juried into highly selective shows, has received awards and is held in numerous private collections, internationally and across the United States. Of note in Colorado, her work is included in the Inkfish Collection and the Denver Library's, Blair Caldwell African American Research Center. Her painting "Daylight Dissolving" was recently chosen by the Art in Embassies program to hang in the American Embassy in Athens, Greece from 2011 through 2012. Jessica says, "Though people, animals and landscapes are my usual subject matter, I periodically enjoy creating still lifes that incorporate toys, dolls and family heirlooms."

Jessica Wicken has been an actress, singer, jeweler, Congressional Aide, legal secretary and after moving to Denver in 1996, returned to painting. Her artwork is shown in regional galleries, in invitational and juried shows and is held in private collections internationally across the United States. She has a BFA from the University of Utah, studied in Mexico and futher studies at Art Students League of Denver. Describing her mask, "Green Goddess," Jessica says: "I have been very concerned with the extensive poisoning of the earth and with all the agricultural chemicals and wanted to convey that the earth is watching what we do. We should honor and protect our earth."
