Peter K. Olson is a recently graduated DU art student, aspiring illustrator and lover of comic books. Peter explains his mask: "The thought-provoking quotation comes from "Araby", a short story published in 1914 by James Joyce. A young character has just come to this realization based on his own actions. A grim awareness to have, perhaps, but also an enlightening realization to employ to see clearly. We use these moments in our own lives to make ourselves better people. In my mind, the mask depicts an older version of the character retelling the moment."
