John Grant, Jr., who was named team captain for the 2014 season, was acquired by the Mammoth via trade from the Rochester Knighthawks in 2010. Grant is a two-time National Lacrosse League Most Valuable Player (2007 and 2012), nine-time All Star and nine-time All-Pro. Grant Jr. set the NLL single season points record in 2012 despite missing two games with a fractured sternum and is third on the NLL's all-time list for goals scored, fifth in assists, and third in points. Despite having played just three seasons in Colorado, he is already fourth on the team's all-time goal-scoring list and third in assists.
