"The Grey Veil, Can You See Me Now?"

Women in this culture begin to color their grey hair early. It's considered unattractive; it's considered a sign of old age; it's considered a sign of lost vitality.  I've chosen to accept my grey hair and I've experienced the grey veil.  When people first see me, they see my grey hair and immediately assess me as old, less vital, less attractive, less able to contribute anything of value.  They can't imagine me full of energy and full of ideas and full of valuable experience.  My piece represents the grey veil concealing that vitality.
