Description
Joan Schubert was born in Denver, CO, and currently resides in Longmont with her husband Nick and their two English Springer Spaniels, Buddy and Holly. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado in 1977. Joan works primarily in oils, pastels and mosaics and is currently a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists.
Special Instructions
Longmont mosaic artist, Joan Schubert, created her mask, entitled "Diamonds and Pearls," to represent the earthly transcendence from the material into the spiritual world. The mask is mosaicked with ceramic tile, mother-of-pearl, and vintage glass beads and jewels. Created in loving memory of David Schubert.
