Amanda DeAngelis is the owner of Nine Births Childbirth Services located in Fort Collins, Colorado. She works as a Labor Dula, childbirth educator and writer. She spends most of her days walking in the woods, painting and loving on her incredible husband, son, and dogs. I live in the area where the High Park fire burned in 2012 and much has changed in our surroundings. Most of the trees that exist in my area are now naked and free of their needles. While most may consider the fire to be a great devastation, I see a forest that was in need of change and renewal.
