Ryan Guillaume was born two weeks past his due date, in December of 1980. Throughout his life he has continued to fall behind on the concept of time. Once he found painting, time became irrelevant altogether. He took the northern Colorado college tour for seven and a half years. He eventually graduated from Colorado State University, with a Bachelors in Fine Art, emphasis in painting, in 2007. In college he studied under a bottle of whiskey, he immediately became immersed in the process. Over time he learned that turning inward was a dead end. He spent years trying to work outward, but by then he seemed to have lost his ability to communicate verbally what he felt could only be expressed with a brush. The process of painting overtook him over his lifetime and eventually became something much bigger than simply applying paint to canvas. He is currently living in Denver, painting, and taking care of his 92 year old Grampa. He continues to find ways to draw out the process, only now, he values time more than ever.
