Last year, she was named the 2013 9News Leader of the Year, a prestigious honor awarded to an emerging leader who has made a significant contribution to the wellbeing of Colorado. She is married to Andrew Hudson, a prominent PR Consultant and owner of the website, Andrew Hudson's Job List. They have three children; Nick, Julia and Mateo.

Mi Casa's Resource Center's mission is to advance the economic success of Latino families. The majority of our families come from Mexico. For that reason, I chose to create a "Dia de los Muertos" themed mask. The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday observed on October 31st, November 1st and 2nd in connectio with the riduum of Hallowtide, Hallowmas and All Souls' Day. The holiday celebrates and remembers loved ones who have passed away, typically with private altars, sugar skulls, marigolds and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed. Folk art represetnting this tradition is abudant in Mexian Culture.
