Laurel Okasaki is a licensed clinical social worker and has served as a health educator for fourteen years, including work with The Denver Hospice. Ms. Okasaki is the Life Quality Institute Community Educator and an adjunct professor at The University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. Laurel discovered a passion for writing at an early age, placing in a national contest at the age of eleven. She incorporates her personal and professional experiences with grief in her work as an educator, author, singer, and songwriter. In her free time, Laurel enjoys spending time with animals, family, and friends.
