Description

Rodney Crowell is a Texas born musician, a two-time Grammy-winner and a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is the only country music recording artist to write, produce and perform five consecutive number one singles from the same album. Since 2001, he has released five critically acclaimed solo albums, an album of duets recorded with Emmylou Harris, and the concept album "Kin" co-written with poet and memoirist, Mary Karr, and performed by Norah Jones, Vince Gill, Lucinda Williams, Lee Ann Womack, Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson and Crowell himself. He is the author of the acclaimed memoir, "Chinaberry Sidewalks," published in 2011, and recipient of lifetime achievement awards in songwriting from the Americana Music Association and American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. He lives with his wife, Claudia, in middle Tennessee. Rodney Crowell's contribution to The Denver Hospice is titled "Post Modern Anonymous."
