Description
Eisenhower Barracuda's are a Denver Park and Rec swim team that swims at Eisenhower pool /rec center. The team in the last 3 years has grown from about 25 kids from ages 5-18 to over 100 this year. The kids are from the southeast Denver area and attend schools in that area. We have a variety of kids who are from all different backgrounds. The team does many "scholarships" so that kids can swim on the team for the summer.
Last year the team was 2nd in the All City Meet which is the final swim meet for all Denver Park and Rec pools. The team is coached and mentored by Rob Netting who is very involved in the Denver Park system. Coaches Vinny and Monica and Keagan have all been swimmers for years on the team and are now in just finishing High school or in their first year of college and mentoring the kids. It is a family oriented pool and team and we try to support the kids to have fun, learn and we try to help everyone have the opportunity to participate. The Denver Hospice sponsored the team this year and provided our swim team shirts which are worn throughout the Denver Metro area and were a hit at the swim meets with all the teams. We don't have the "final" results of the All City meet for this year, but should be either 1st or 2nd maybe!?
