Description
The Children’s Museum of Denver is all about learning through play. With interactive exhibits, year-round special events, and daily educational programming, there is always something fun and exciting to do. This mask was designed using acrylic paint and wood beads. The images were chosen to represent symbols of childhood, imagination, and whimsical play - themes emphasized in the features and values of the Children's Museum of Denver. The facial features, simply outlined and often partially obscured, were intended as subtle accents to the more essential and vibrant constructs of a child's mind. Artist: Educator Elizabeth (Gracie) Horner studied studio art at Boston College. She is available for portrait commissions.
