Ballet Austin's "The Glass Project": Two tickets to any performance

Item Number: 111
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Experience "The Glass Project," the latest original choreography by Ballet Austin creative director Stephen Mills, with two tickets for best-available seats on 8 PM Fri. Feb. 14 or Sat. Feb. 15, or at 3 PM on Sun. Feb. 16.
First came "The Bach Project." Then, "The Mozart Project."
Now, the hauntingly beautiful music of modern master Philip Glass inspires the third work in Stephen Mills' composer-centered series. This new production promises a full evening of compelling, provocative choreography shaped by Mills' innovative approach to movement.
"Many people have described Philip Glass' music as 'minimalist'. Mr. Glass trained in harmony and counterpoint with famed teacher Nadia Boulanger, and because he studied the work of composers such as Schubert, Bach, and Mozart, I consider him a 'Classicist.' If art is a reflection of the time in which it is created, I believe Mr. Glass sees a rhythmic, pulsating, anxious and hopeful world." – Stephen Mills
