Up for auction is an extremely rare offering: Two "Friend of ACL" tickets to a 2014 Austin City Limits TV show taping at Moody Theater. These tickets provide you with front and center seating on the floor at an upcoming 2014 taping. 

To give you an idea of the exclusivity of this offer, general admission tickets to tapings are distributed via a random lottery. Even when in hand, they don't guarantee entry and usually are for standing-room only. The winning bidder of this auction is guaranteed two seats. 

While the spring 2014 ACL taping line-up has yet to be released, we all know the caliber of musicians and bands who have graced the ACL stage and TV show, including:

The tickets available in this auction will be valid at most shows in the 2014 ACL taping lineup, which will start being announced in January and fluidly unfold as the year progresses, especially around ACL or SXSW.

The winning bidder will be asked to submit three choices of shows. Every effort will be made to provide tickets for the bidder’s top concert choice.  

These tickets are for tapings of Austin City Limits, not for events with “ACL Live," which is a separate business entity, unrelated to KLRU. This donation is from a Friend of ACL, and not KLRU. 

From ACLTV.com's website: KLRU is preparing for its 40th season of Austin City Limits, America's longest running live music performance program on television and recipient of the rare Institutional Peabody Award for excellence and outstanding achievement. Each taping season generally runs from February to November and features 18-20 live performances before an intimate crowd. All performances of Austin City Limits air on PBS stations nationwide beginning in October through February of the following year. KLRU provides access to these live performances and other exclusive invitations, through the Friends of Austin City Limits program as a thank you for your annual membership donation to KLRU.
