Carole Barlas primarily works in acrylics. She finds that acrylics offer opportunities to experiment in a variety of styles, and the medium less toxic than oils. A member of the Petaluma Arts Association, Barlas has exhibited her work at Art in the Park and has also participated in a number of PAA shows, and has had work on display in Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol and San Francisco.
