Description

In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued 27 cat figurines, displayed in a 3-piece curio cabinet, each produced in a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages.  Sculptures range from 2" to 3.5" in height.  Cabinet measures 13" high x 13" wide, and each side extension cabinet measures 9" high x 7.5" wide and can be displayed on a table or mounted on the wall.

This collection includes the 15 cats from the first series and the 12 cats from the second series.  All items are in perfect condition, without a ding, scratch or blemish of any kind.  Unique to this set is the Cut Crystal cat that is in perfect and complete condition.  The base is a separate piece, and most of the cats in sets being sold are missing their base. Comes with the original color brochure, 26 original information cards (missing card for "Valencia") and one certificate of authenticity from the 15 cat series.   Smoke free home.

Included in the lot are:  Egyptian, Asian, Delft, Chalkware, Blanc de Chine, Art Deco, Colonial Pewter, Animalier, Satsuma, Cut Crystal, 18th Century German Style, Cobolt Blue, Netsuke, Herend, Imari, Cinnabar, Art Nouveau, Bootscrapper, Faience, Vienna Bronze, Kakiemon, Han Dynasty, Staffordshire, Crystal Clear, Black Basalt, Ch'ing Dynasty, and Valencia.
