Description
Three at-home stained glass-making lessons with artist and BSI mom Shari Axelrod.
Note: Individual will need to purchase their own glass cutter, but otherwise materials will be provided.
Teacher used to be a professional artist whose work has been featured on the covers of 5 magazines and in a coffee table book, and who used to to technical writing for various art magazines.
Learn the copper-foil technique, practice the basics of making stained glass (including safety), and produce a nice sun catcher.
If the purchase price is high or the student is mature, practices, and is interested we can make a much more comprehensive project that will include an educational field trip and a more sophisticated art project, including incorporating multi-media if desired.
This is not an appropriate project for anyone younger than second grade. For older kids or adults I am perfectly willing to help incorporate more ambitions and ""fun"" elements such as firing poly resins and table saws.
Special Instructions
Only one for family unless a few families agree to go in with each other as a ""group"" class--I can only handle 2-3 children at a time.
You would need to purchase your own glass cutter, which costs between 25 and 40$ (diamond dust on wheel is the reason for its cost).
