This piece is from the Royal Doulton Bronze Menagerie collection. The name of the piece is "Snoozin" which is easy to understand when you see the piece itself. It is a Basset Hound sleeping on a green cushion with a small kitten sleeping on top of the Basset. It measures 2 1/4" high and rests on a 3" x 4" cushion. It is Brown and White (the Basset) Grey (the Kitten) both lying on the cushion.
This piece was sculpted in 1980 by Jean Williams and was produced in Coldcast Bronze by Royal Doulton as part of a limited edition in 1981.  No of this pieces is no longer ledgible.  Hand Painted in USA 1981 Creatuve World Ltd. White Plains, NY 10606.  It is in excellent condition without cracks, chips or paint loss and the felt pad on the base is without marks tears or looseness and the label is still in place identifying the piece and making it a truly collectible piece of Royal Doulton.
