Through the SES Golf Tournament's online auction, SES donors can “buy” items for the school, just like you might for a wedding or baby registry! Items, such as this, listed on the Wish List Registry help students during therapy sessions, in the classroom, and beyond.

SES students will get the chance to explore a full-size trunk of Civil War items such as military clothing, pastime activities, photographs, literature, music, and a film about the Civil War in order to gain a better appreciation of the daily life of a Civil War soldier. After using the trunk, students will be able to: (1) describe the clothing and equipment used by Civil War soldiers; (2) identify with the many hardships that encompassed a Civil War soldier's life; (3) draw comparisons between our moden day soldiers and those from the 1860s; (4) identify the causes that lead to this country's Civil War; (5) comprehend the significance of the battle of Gettsburg in relation to the rest of the American Civil War; and (6) develop an understanding of the National Park Service's role in preserving our country's heritage.  The Traveling Trunk is rented from the Gettysburg
