Director of Tennis
Kip Layman
The Standard Club's Director of Tennis, Kip Layman, was born in Miami, FL, but spent most of his tennis career in Virginia. He was a two-time Virginia State Champion and recipient of the 1991 Bill Talbert Sportsmanship Award for the Southern Region presented by the Board of the International Tennis Hall of Fame. He played collegiate tennis at the University of Alabama where he was a two-time captain of the Men's Top 8 National Team.
Kip is certified with the United States Professional Tennis Association with a P-1 rating and was honored as the USPTA Georgia Professional of the Year in 2004. He was also the GPTA Male Player of the Year in 2002 & 2006 and was GPTA Director of the Year for a Large Facility in 2006. Kip enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristin, and daughters, Landon, Brooke and Harper.
