Dr. Meyer I. Perlstein has been in private practice of Periodontics in the Atlanta, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody area since 1975. He specializes in conservative periodontal therapy, scaling and root planing (deep scaling), osseous and bone surgery (your basic periodontal surgery), implent placement, soft tissue grafts, antibiotic therapy, periodontal cleanings and esthetic periodontal procedures. He's also available for weddings, Brises, bar/bat mitzvahs and other joyous events

Of course, we'd be remiss if we forgot to mention that Dr. Perlstein attended and graduated Emory in 1971. He spent 2 years in the USAF stationed at Bolling’s AFB and the pentagon as a General Dental Officer. He received his postdoctoral certificate in Periodontology and a Masters of Science Degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1975. He taught as an associate professor of Periodontology at Emory University in Atlanta, while continuing his private practice in Dunwoody / Sandy Springs. He is a member of numerous dental and professional organizations including the ADA, GDA, Northern Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, the Georgia Association of Periodontists and Alpha Omega. He has a grown son, a wife, and two Westies named Max and Camille. Dr. Perlstein has presented numerous papers and lectures for local and national professional organizations. He also plays violin in his spare time and was an alternate on the US Olympic Dental Team in 1996.
