Everyone loves going out to their favorite sushi bar or teppan restaurant for good food and a good time. Imagine having the best of both worlds – gathering around the table with your friends, family or colleagues and enjoying the spectacular showmanship of a seasoned chef -- with a private sushi and teppanyaki dinner for 16 prepared and served in your home by Orange County’s own Chef Aki.

Aki Murao started as a Teppan Chef in his native Kyoto, Japan. Ten years ago, he brought his expert cooking skills and Japanese culture to California, working in a number of high end restaurants and special event venues. As head chef and owner of Akioni’s Catering, it would be his pleasure to work with you to create a customized menu for your private dinner party, including appetizers and Japanese beer.

“Teppan” (iron pan) and “Yaki” (grilling) is a style of cooking that has become quite popular in the U.S., as much for its flavor as for the spectacular show put on by the chef. Sushi speaks for itself , and over the past twenty years has become a favorite among hip twenty-somethings, sophisticated diners, and –yes, even children. Who isn’t tempted by a California roll, or for those more adventurous, spicy tuna? Together, teppan and sushi, prepared and presented in your home by Chef Aki, will be a real treat for you and your guests.

This package includes food for 16 people, tax and gratuity. Additional guests are welcome for an extra fee.  Available for any home location within Southern California (Long Beach, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, and Orange County areas).
