Open 365 days a year from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and until 7:00 pm on weekends in July and August, Adventure Aquarium features 2 million gallons of water and 8,500 animals. See an entire colony of African Penguins, walk through a free-flight aviary, or come face-to-face with stingrays, rare shark species and giant Loggerhead and Green Sea Turtles in the 760,000-gallon Ocean Realm exhibit. The fifth largest aquarium in the country, Adventure Aquarium is the only aquarium in the world with hippos and the only aquarium in the U.S. to exhibit Great Hammerhead Sharks. See the largest collection of sharks on the East Coast, including the 550,000-gallon Shark Realm exhibit, and a 40-foot suspended Shark Tunnel, Plus don’t miss KidZone, a new play space for kids 6 and under featuring new and returning animals and touch species, as well as interactive games and activities like “Pop Up” exhibits that provide an insider’s view of the fish. Adventure Aquarium also features a 4D Theater and FREE live shows and up-close animal experiences.
