Juanita Woertz is a Family Disability Consultant who offers support and resources to families with a family member affected by a disability, specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders. She assists families in navigating the social security and medical assistance systems, find support groups, locate specialists and therapists, attend medical appointments or school meetings as a support person, provide tutoring for the special needs or typical children in the family, and provide guidance and advice as needed. She does not provide legal advice or act as an advocate in the school system, but can attend legal and educational meetings as moral support and is willing to be a part of the educational team. Juanita has over 20 years of experience working with people with disabilities, both on a personal and a professional level, and has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Temple University. Juanita has two children with Asperger's Syndrome who also had significant medical issues growing up.
