Description
Good for one year. To be arranged at a time that is convenient for both the winner and the astronomer. The location should be convenient to the winner and acceptable to the astronomer. A dark sky location is recommended for deep sky objects such as galaxies and nebula.
Up to 10 people can be accommodated for the evening.
Telescope will be either a 24 inch or 14 inch telescope (these are very large) depending on seeing conditions and at the discretion of the astronomer.
A short lesson in understanding the sky, its objects (nebula, galaxies, star clusters, planets and other objects) and the use of telescopes will be provided before observing, preferably indoors.
Any age can be accommodated.
Bio
David Speltz has been an active amateur astronomer and a member of the NH Astronomical Association for more than 25 years. He is he NH Chapter Leader of the International Dark Sky Association (IDA). David is active in both visual as well as photograph imaging of objects in the universe.
