Description
Enjoy a custom portrait by Bonnie Knickerbocker. The portrait will be oil on linen, and sized at 36" by 42".
Bonnie Knickerbocker began painting at the age of ten. She graduated from The Corcoran School of Art at George Washington University in 1965. From there she traveled to London, England and Madrid, Spain before settling in Sydney Australia. This five year period was a profound stimulus for Bonnie. The influence of Alberto Giacometti, Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele as well as the German Expressionists came from her mentor, Jack Yates, a London artist.
Never content to stay with one medium, she moves between painting, clay, raku, assemblages and now bronze. The mediums are really intertwined, she says. One must always push into novel territory just for the sake of the challenge and the unknown which can be somewhat scary but ultimately worth the effort.
There will be a private viewing of some of Bonnie's work at her home in Kittery Point for interested bidders. She will need at least one sitting in either Kittery Point or Key Largo, and client should work out details with artist.
