These four Ragdoll & Siamese original photos by professional photographer Dorothy Holby are ready to be framed. 8x10s.
Dorothy Holby was born in Chicago in 1922, and grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. She attended Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio. She taught Spanish at Northeastern Illinois College in Chicago until 1978. Growing up her family always had cats and after retiring from teaching, she took several drawing and photography classes and acquired a cat. She specialized in cat photography and produced thousands of images including almost every bree. She submitted her photography and was published on magazine covers and on calenders. She was a regular contributor to Cat Fancy magazine.
In addition, she was an author. She published over fifty articles on cat behavior and cat photography. During this time she, and her husband Eric, always had five or six cats in their home and they also fostered other cats until homes were found. She passed away at age 90 in 2012 with two cats by her side.
She and her husband Eric established a foundation which helps fund animal welfare causes. Your purchase of her art will continue to help C & W's Rustic Hollow Shelter help special needs felines.
