Laura first learned about glass art when working in the studio of Bullseye Glass in Portland, OR. She loves working with glass because it is both strong and fragile. Its molecules exist in a state of extreme tension that makes working with it challenging and beautiful. The pieces -- whose colors are created by different metals and oxides contained in the glass -- are melted in a kiln at about 1,500-2,000 Fahrenheit. These pieces are approximately 2" x.5" and come with a silver-tone choke with a magnet closure, though they can be suspended from any type of chain.
