This is a unique shadow box maritime painting. It is unsigned and undated, but Michael Wall, Director of American Marine Model Inc. believes this to be a valuable piece from the end of the 1800s. It is unique in that the depth of the box is less (~3") than a typical shadow box (5-6") and the "head-on" perspective, rather than a view from the side, is also unique.
