About the Artist: 

"Escotete" is the registered "artist name" for Scott E. Jacobs. Born in 1958 in New Jersey, Scott has been painting for many years in acrylics, and only recently changed his style to reflect a more figuratively based technique. Although he is without any professional training, his extensive knowledge of the art world comes from his numerous years of experience as a multiple art gallery owner, which he has called his best teachers and inspirations. In the past, Jacobs has been celebrated for his exquisite portraiture, capturing the likenesses of Kathy Ireland, Paulina, Cindy Crawford, and Madonna.
